Marcus Griffiths nominated for 2016 Ian Charleson Awards

We're thrilled that MARCUS GRIFFITHS has been nominated for the Ian Charleson Awards for his performance as Laertes in Hamlet at the RSC. The Awards, which are presented by the Sunday Times and National Theatre, reward the best classical performances by actors under the age of 30. The winners will be announced in a ceremony at the National Theatre on Monday 5 June.

Joanna Kirkland in Committee at the Donmar Warehouse

JOANNA KIRKLAND has begun rehearsals for Committee... (A New Musical) which will run at the Donmar Warehouse from 23 June to 12 August. The show will feature music by Tom Deering and lyrics edited by Hadley Fraser and Josie Rourke from the transcript of the evidence session on Whitehall's relationship with Kids Company. Adam Penford will direct.

Solomon Israel in The Pulverised at Arcola Theatre and York Theatre Royal

SOLOMON ISRAEL has started rehearsing for The Pulverised, which will run at the Arcola from 2 to 27 May and then at York Theatre Royal from 31 May to 10 June. The play by Alexandra Badea arrives in the UK in an English translation following its premier at the Strasbourg National Theatre where it won the prestigious Grand Prix de la Littérature.

Melissa Allan nominated for Olivier Award for Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour

We're thrilled that MELISSA ALLAN has been nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role along with the rest of the cast of Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour. The National Theatre of Scotland production originally opened at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2015 where it won several awards. It went on to tour the UK and run at the National Theatre of Great Britain in 2016.

Adrian Irvine in One Love: The Bob Marley Musical at Birmingham Rep

ADRIAN IRVINE is currently in rehearsals for One Love: The Bob Marley Musical in which he will play the role of Jamaican Prime Minister Michael Manley. The musical will tell the story of a dramatic period of Bob Marley's life and will bring his catalogue to the stage for the first time. Kwame Kwei-Armah will direct the show which will run at Birmingham Rep from 10 March to 8 April.

Pepter Lunkuse in Father Brown and Nell Gwynn on tour

Catch PEPTER LUNKUSE in the BBC daytime drama Father Brown on Tuesday 17 January. The episode will air at 2.45pm on BBC One and is called The Tanganyika Green.

Pepter will soon be going on tour with Nell Gwynn, a co-production between Shakespeare's Globe and English Touring Theatre which follows the show's runs at the Globe and in the West End. Pepter will be playing Rose Gwynn in the tour which opens at the Lowry in Salford in February and closes with a two week run at the Globe in May.

James Rigby in The Trackers of Oxyrhynchus at Finborough Theatre

JAMES RIGBY is now in rehearsals for The Trackers of Oxyrhynchus which will run at the Finborough Theatre from 3 to 28 January. The play by Tony Harrison, which rediscovers the Greek satyr play, was originally written for a one off performance in the ancient stadium of Delphi in 1988 and then ran at the National Theatre in 1990. This will be its first production in London for nearly 30 years.
